Durability and Reliability

The Long-term durability of HISHITANK™ is based on the testing tanks in-use and MCIT keeps developing and improving our technique. HISHITANK™ is a trusted name backed up by more than 50 years of design guided by the continuous accumulation of test data.

Panel Strength

The panel strength is designed such that stress is distributed equally throughout the tank. Computer analysis confirms displacement of all panels, and stress to any part of the panels. HISHITANK™ has long-term durability because it was designed with internal water pressure in mind.

Earthquake Resistance

HISHITANK™ is designed considering the dynamic water pressure that can occur during an earthquake. This data is based on the great store of knowledge MCIT has accumulated in R&D. We offer many grades of tank for different intensities of seismic events.

Sealing

The design of the structure prevents it from losing the shape. Joints between panels become stable. Gaskets are designed according to shape and material so leak prevention is greatly improved.

Hygiene

MCIT is researching and developing unique techniques to improve such qualities as corrosion resistance and sealing in order to provide clean, reliable water.

Anti-Corrosion

The unique technique of nylon coating MCIT protect water from corrosion. Any steel materials inside tank are coated by nylon or resin using proprietary techniques to protect from corrosion.

Sealing

HISHITANK™ uses proprietary sealing technology to block external impurities and thereby maintain the integrity of the water within.

Drainage system

The smooth, clear surface of the inside panels resists the adhesion of impurities.

How to Clean & Maintain

Perform detailed checks in a periodic inspection once or twice a year. If necessary, replace parts and perform a repair work. The design service life will be indicated by your installer, at which point we recommend that you take necessary measures such as replacement of parts and reinforcement of the tank based on the detailed checks.

Thermal Insulation

Tank with insulation can be designed the effect of ambient temperature on the water inside the tank. Experience installing in Japan, with its different climatic conditions between North and South, but also in hot regions, such as the Middle East and South East Asia have allowed us to improve our specification about thermal insulation.

Seismic Calculation

There are two types of shaking in an earthquake. One is caused by high-frequency waves and the other by low-frequency waves. The movement of water in the tank depends on the type of wave. While the lower portion of the tank will be subject to a large force when there are high-frequency vibrations, the upper portion of the tank will be subject to a large force when there are low-frequency vibrations, and sloshing will occur which affects the ceiling panel. HISHITANK™ G Panel Type tanks are designed to handle both types of earthquake.HISHITANK™ G Panel Type tanks have continuously satisfied the changing seismic design standard of Japan, the land of earthquakes.
